Can't stop. Won't stop. |
After an outstanding display from Chelsea’s young English stars at the Molineux on Saturday afternoon, the mighty Blues have not only reached the top half of the table but reached the dizzying heights of sixth. Or joint third if we jut want to look at the points tally five matches into the season.
I’ll be the first to hold my hands up and say I didn’t have faith in Kevin Tammy Abraham’s ability to lead the line and score consistently at this level yet. I felt as a striker, he needed more time to develop and grow physically. It’s one thing to poach a number of goals in the Championship, and not to be patronising to a brilliant league, but it’s not the same as finding the back of the net in the Premier League. There’ve been a number of outstanding players who have failed to make the step up.
