Chelsea's top target Erling Haaland willing to wait for Stamford Bridge switch

Despite Chelsea's Champions League triumph - other trophies are available - it is evident to anyone with eyes and a penchant for fun tha goals have been sorely lacking from Thomas Tuchel's side. Making Marina Granovskaia's task this summer to find a striker. And one that is unlikely to fade under the pressure of being the Blues' number nine. 

It's a big ask. 

While OAP and Champions League loser Sergio Aguero was briefly linked to a free transfer, he has since joined best mate Leo Messi at Barcelona.

Erling Haaland is now being heavily linked across most media sources as a top target. There's very few clubs who can afford the Norwegian forward making beating off the competition a somewhat easier task. 

In unsavoury scenes before the European Super club drama, super-agent Mino Raiola had Haaland on tour of the chosen clubs to stir up a bidding war and make most involved very uncomfortable.

While he managed to get to Real Madrid and Barcelona in the same day, quarantine rules at the time prevented from his tour coming to these shores to meet with Chelsea, Man City and United. Something Borussia Dortmund was no doubt briefly grateful for.

As the transfer window edges closer to opening, talk of Haaland's move to Chelsea have only hotted up. The club are said to be increasingly 'confident' of landing Europe's hottest forward this summer - with many clubs opting out in hopes of a cut-price deal next summer.

Reports now suggest that the Borussia Dortmund star would be interested in joining Thomas Tuchel's side whether it be this summer or next.

Erling Haaland's signing has the potential to unlock Timo Werner. While most expected the German to lead the line, he is at his best playing off another forward and target man. They would be a deadly combination if they find chemistry on the pitch.

The Leeds born youngster has scored 57 goals in just 59 games at Borussia Dortmund and was the top scorer in this season's Champions League despite quarter-final exit. At just 20 years of age he's only getting started.
