Easter = Resurrections....

A little thunder, a little lightening....a little puddle dropping that ball dead ... rewarding the believers for their faith

Hello All,
I will warn you all now, this is about to get way over the top cheesy. Like cheesy that you haven’t read before, so if you’ve just eaten, I’d advise you to turn away now.

Seriously....it’s almost nauseating me....

Last chance....

Alright...you’ve asked for it now!

Well, as any Chelsea supporter would, we all knew this moment was coming. From the time the rumours of his imminent arrival, we all knew this moment would come. It actually never, came -- John Terry and Wayne Bridge did not in fact shake hands again.

Ok, that's not what this is all really about. Its been the question on everybody's minds, lips, newspapers, nightmares (OK, maybe that last one was just me)...when, when is this going to happen?!? arrrghh..

The frustration week in and week out. I thought Wayne Rooney had a better chance of scoring in an old age...oh wait... Ryan Giggs would have a better chance of scoring with Miss Wales...oh...no...nevermind... Ok...It was more likely that Joe Cole would get a start for Liverpool than our own Fernando would finally find the back of that net (and it count – I’m looking at you, you damnable linesmen).

 There was nothing about this game that did not make his re-emergence as a striker not fully and completely dramatic. The skies opened up as the teams emerged from the tunnel, and then the crashing lightening and thunder which found itself getting more applause than any of the players at times added to the ever growing atmosphere and anticipation. I’m pretty sure when the teams came onto the pitch for the second half I saw a tiny boat with animals in pairs rowing across the pitch. *Insert own wet jokes as you feel appropriate* ....so for Easter weekend and the plague like conditions pelting down, it was the most theatrical way Nando brought a crushing end to the fun and games at www.hasfernandotorresscoredforchelsea.com . Hopefully his next goal doesn’t need the thunder, lightening, people rising from the dead etc and so on.... As the bitters will still be looking on and dismissing those freckles his ability to score.

 And let’s not count anyone out here...Drogba put in another fantastic performance. He’s working well with Kalou and Malouda up front, and with 9 goals over 3 matches, goal or not, I’d still be starting these three! Although Torres had the most emotional goal for everyone, and it was fun to see how excited the entire team was for him, fair play to FloMo for having the goal of the game. Surely Lamps thanked both of them and gave himself a pat on the back for possibly sending West Ham down.

 In not so breaking news, Arsenal have yet again missed an opportunity to prove to threaten for the title making their constant tease with their supporters by offering glimmers of hope only to come up short as frustrating as trying to read any form of discernable grammar into Rio Ferdinand’s tweets. Oh Arsenal, for the sake of, well just about everybody, I hope your testicles descend sometime over this week and you give your supporters a little payback by beating Manchester United this weekend. After the comments this week, Wenger will surely want one over on Ferguson, and you owe that to the man who has provided you with so much candy and fluffy blankets. As a sidebar, Jack Wilshire was fantastic with their away support by hopping the barrier to thank the fans. There are 10 other men out there who could learn something from him!

 And for those of you really concerned, there was no harm done to any actual bottles at the Reebok this weekend in the making of the end of Arsenal’s season.

ps...yes, i am fully aware of all the ifs, ands, buts, and possibilities. But I’m not going to be the one to jinx this as I may have done to the CL. ;)
