Did he just pay 1200 Quid to make that face?
Good Morning Everyone!
You didn't really think I'd let the entire week slip by without mention of the scoring escapades of England's national team did you? Personally, I've sat back and enjoyed this as it has unfolded. Cheating on the pregnant wife....with a prostitute?!? And then telling Coleen to move on and get over it?!? Awesome. This story was so juicy that members of Pakitstan's cricket team should be personally sending Roo muffin baskets for clearing them right out of the papers. Surely this will be the great excuse for taking over 900 minutes to score for England, or to be given a pity penalty kick against the Hammers just to get on the score sheet for the first time since March. Oh yes, this is a man clearly tortured over the guilt of spending 1200 quid a night for sex and that's why he could no longer perform on the pitch. At least we all now know his going rate. Not shocking really that he had to spend that much. Although, a mate of mine just got back from Cuba and he could probably have done whatever he needed for about 40 pesos. Whoever manages his finances really needs to sort him out.
Who else is waiting for the Gerrard story to break?!? Between him and Roo, JT could almost be sainted at this point. If the punishment for sleeping with a consenting adult without crossing any legal boundaries is being stripped of the captaincy, what kind of flogging should Roo get?
Anyways, back to our own team, we're in action against the Irons this weekend. Kick off is at 10am. I know you were probably all getting used to the lunch time fixture and a good lie it, well, that's all over, and is really just preparing us for the EARLY game against Citeh. Although the prospect of playing West Ham when we're bascially 14-0 and they have yet to gain a point in a game seems juicy, it could be trouble. In theory, they are due and will be looking to restore some pride around Upton Park. I'd say it would be dangerous to play a former manager due to his intimate knowledge of the team and our tactics, but let's be honest, Grant was just really our attractive trophy manager while we waited for a real one in Guus and now Carletto. (and yes, I left out Gene Hackman, I think we all know why).
Come out for some breakfast and pints!
See you Saturday
